Delivery and Shipping Policy

Delivery Times

Delivery should be 3-5 working days under normal circumstances. Delivery times are estimates only, and rural delivery or remote sites may vary on delivery estimates. Delivery times do not include any time required for equipment calibration or certification.

We will endeavour to meet our stated delivery timeframes. However we do not warrant that these timeframes will be met as there are a multitude of different factors that can affect delivery times.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs for your order are non-refundable and are based on the weight and/or cubic size of the goods you order and your location. The date of delivery for your order may vary due to carrier shipping practices, delivery location, method of delivery and the quantity of goods ordered, and in addition your order may be delivered in separate shipments. Additional shipping charges may apply depending on your location and the size of your order.


Wedderburn's standard shipping includes insurance of goods until the goods are delivered to the address stated on the Delivery Docket or once the goods have been picked up from one of our branches by the customer (see “Picks Ups” below).

Order Tracking

Wedderburn does not automatically provide tracking details due to the risk of fraudulent activity.  Wedderburn staff will happily track your order and provide regular status updates if required.  If your business processes require that we provide you with an order tracking code, we will do so but this will negate any insurance cover we may have otherwise provided and we accept no responsibility for safe delivery of that order. 

All orders must be signed for at time of delivery. This is to ensure that we can confirm you have received the product and that it has been received in good condition. The risk of any loss and or damage to the product will pass to you on delivery.

Pick Ups

Pick up of goods can be made from our Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch or Dunedin offices only if prior arrangements have been made. You will be required to sign a Delivery Docket accepting receipt of goods. Risk with respect to the goods (including any loss, damage or deterioration) shall pass to you immediately when the Delivery Docket has been signed.

Any order not picked up within 3 months of the date of invoice, will be placed back into general stock and will be designated as abandoned by you. Without limiting your liability for the abandoned goods, we reserve the right to resell any abandoned goods to offset the cost of storing and processing the abandoned goods.

Delivery Outside New Zealand

Under normal circumstances purchase and delivery is within New Zealand, however please contact Wedderburn (0800 800-379) for a quote if you require good to be exported outside New Zealand.

Stocked Items

Occasionally stock runs out before our website is updated and you will be notified if you have been affected. Please note that if your order is placed during a "sale" period, dispatch time for 'in stock' items can be delayed due to increased volume of orders. If you have other items on your order then we may hold the 'in stock' item(s) to complete as much of an order as possible.

We are not able to keep stock of all items, and the item you are seeking may have to be ordered in from an overseas supplier. Each item you order may have different delivery expectations depending on availability. Please also note that to offer the widest range of items online we rely on information provided by the suppliers and distributors.

Delivery Information Accuracy

Address changes and/or corrections made through your Account will only affect future orders placed after the changes and/or corrections are made. Any changes and/or corrections for current orders must be done by contacting us in writing through

Customers who enter addresses that our delivery agents have deemed having incorrect and/or insufficient details to ensure delivery may result in the following:

If there is any damage to the items that you ordered on delivery, you must contact us within 5 days from receipt of your order.

Any package returned to us due to the above incorrect and/or insufficient information will require an extra delivery charge. Also, if we have incurred extra fees to retrieve the package then these charges will also be borne by the customer before the package can be dispatched again.

If a package arrives back to our warehouse due to the above incorrect and/or insufficient delivery issues and incurs damage to the item(s), we will not be responsible for replacing the goods but will make every effort to add extra protection to resend the package once the extra delivery fee payments have been made.

If we are found to be responsible for incorrectly addressing a package then we will be responsible for the resending, replacement or refund of the items delayed or not delivered
