Community Contribution
Auckland Zoo
Wedderburn have weighing solutions for everything from a grain of salt to an elephant.
Elephants are perhaps as iconic to the Auckland Zoo as Wedderburn is to weighing. Over nearly two decades, we have cherished the opportunity to be a part of Burma's ongoing health regime. On an annual basis, or as required, the team from Wedderburn supply large industrial platform scales to assist with the elephants weight monitoring. Wedderburn value this opportunity to support the Auckland Zoo and local community and wish Burma ongoing good health.

Fresh Future Children's Hospital Appeal
The Fresh Future Children's Hospital Appeal helps to support and care for sick Kiwi children and their families, by raising funds for dedicated children’s wards at hospitals around the country. Fresh Future fundraising activities include head shavings, raffles, concerts, trivia nights, bungee jumps, sausage sizzles, golf days, garage sales and a kids duathlon.
Once again, Wedderburn are proud to be a part of this worthwhile cause, and are a participating sponsor at the annual Fresh Futures Charity Golf Day on Thursday 10th September 2009.

Loud Shirt Day
Being a national company, Wedderburn staff are keen to get behind local fund raisers. Last year we welcomed the chance to "get loud", and proudly supported The Hearing House’s annual Loud Shirt Day, which raises both awareness and funds for themselves and the Southern Cochlear Implant Programme. Staff had a blast either creating wildly loud shirts, or digging out well buried shirts from the 80’s and earlier. We’re all looking forward to showing our support again this year and wish the foundations well. If you are interested in learning more, visit their website at www.loudshirtday.co.nz

The RADIONetwork Special Children’s Christmas Party
Understanding the need for community spirit, and being a family business, Wedderburn choose to support this very special event that touches the lives of so many. The Special Children's Christmas Party, in association with the Cancer Society enlists the sponsorship of local business to provide an unforgettable experience for disabled and disadvantaged children in our community. In return, businesses receive on air acknowledgement of their generosity, along with a community identity as a business that cares.
